We're seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Victorian Cardiology team on a part-time basis.

As a valued member of our multidisciplinary service, you'll showcase exceptional standards in both clinical and administrative patient care, ensuring top-notch service delivery.

What you'll do:Work in our team-based care clinics to help coordinate and support the management of both heart failure and cardiac patients. You will use a systematic, empathetic approach to help improve both our patient outcomes and their experience

  • Patient assessment and education
  • Instigation and evaluation of evidence based medical therapies, working alongside our cardiologist team
  • Provide comprehensive medically accurate letters to referrers
  • Phone support for patient and families between clinics
  • Facilitate effective lines of communication with your immediate team as well as doctors, cardiac physiologists, and the administrative team with aim of delivering best practice care to our patients
  • Be prepared to work across multiple sites as required.

Who you are:

  • Eligible for registration as a Nurse with AHPRA
  • Strong cardiac background with minimum 5 years of nursing experience in cardiology, intensive care, or ED. Specific heart failure experience advantageous
  • Demonstrated advanced clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • If not a heart failure specialist, commitment to upskill knowledge, particularly in regard to evidence-based guidelines
  • Commitment to offering exceptional patient focused care
  • Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
