About the role

Goodyear Autocare is seeking an experienced Mechanic/Assistant Manager to join our team in Brisbane, QLD. This is a full-time role that will play a key part in the day-to-day operations of our busy automotive service centre.

What you'll be doing

  • Carry out a wide range of repairs and maintenance on customer vehicles, including servicing, diagnostics, and mechanical work

  • Assist the Store Manager in overseeing the efficient running of the workshop

  • Provide exceptional customer service and advice to all customers

  • Manage and mentor junior mechanics and technicians

  • Support the procurement of parts and materials

  • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in compliance with safety regulations

What we're looking for

  • Strong technical expertise and ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle faults

  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate technical information clearly

  • Experience in mentoring and managing junior team members

  • Highly organised with a focus on efficiency and attention to detail

  • A passion for the automotive industry and a commitment to continuous learning
