*The Role
An opportunity has become available for several Sonographers / Radiographer Sonographers - Senior (Medical Imaging) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
Perform, independent real time ultrasound examinations
Responsible for the primary detection, evaluation and diagnosis of pathology and production of sonographer reports
Provide clinical practice supervision and education of staff and students
Monitor, report and actively contribute to the development of quality improvement processes
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
Sonographer:
Qualification in Medical Ultrasound (Graduate/Post Graduate Diploma or equivalent
Status as an Accredited Medical Sonographer (General) with the Australian Sonographers Accreditation Registry (ASAR)
Radiographer/Sonographer:
Tertiary degree as a Radiographer
AHPRA registration
Queensland Radiation Use Licence
Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
Permanent full time, permanent part time, temporary full time and temporary part time (several positions, hrs negotiable. Temporary contract up to 12 months)
Base salary ranging from $ $ per annum, $ $69.55 per hour part time
About Us
The Medical Imaging Department is expanding which provides service to numerous referring teams: Intensive Care Unit, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Emergency, Paediatrics, Obstetrics, Orthopaedics, cancer outpatients, and various other teams. The Department operates 7 days per week with shifts ranging from early morning to late evening across the district. An Ultrasound on-call service is currently offered from late evening to early morning.
