About the Opportunity

An opportunity has arisen for a Project Structural Geologist to join our Golden Grove operation in Western Australia. In this role, you will report to the Senior Structural Geologist and work on an 8:6 roster.

Your focus will be on collecting, analysing, and interpreting structural geology data to support safe and efficient mining.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting structural mapping, logging, and data collection to build accurate 3D structural models.
  • Interpreting and testing structural and lithological data to guide safe and efficient mine development.
  • Designing mine infrastructure cover drilling programs and employing predictive approaches to inform future mining activities.
  • Collaborating with geology and geotechnical teams to ensure clear communication of structural insights.
  • Mentoring and training geologists, engineers, and technicians to strengthen structural geology capability.
  • Upholding safety standards, leading by example, and contributing to HSEC compliance and culture.

About You

Our ideal candidate will have some post-graduation experience as a structural geologist, preferably in site-based positions with exposure to underground mining environments.

Other key skills, experience, and qualifications:

  • A tertiary qualification in geological science or a related discipline.
  • Experience conducting structural and geological core logging and face scanning.
  • Proficiency in structural data collection, interpretation, and 3D modelling.
  • Preferably, some expertise with mining and geological software packages such as PointStudio, Geobank, Leapfrog, Deswik, Gem4D, and Rock Mapper.
  • A current C-class manual driver's licence.
