OSHC Assistant Coordinator

Partnering with parents and school communities, at Junior Adventures Group (JAG) our goal is to help today's children navigate their tomorrow by supporting children's development through play in fun, engaging environments. Our Outside School Hours Care service, Beaconsfield, is looking for a passionate Assistant Coordinator to assist with managing the service and providing engaging programs for our primary-age children. This is a permanent part-time opportunity offering 30 hours per week  to assist with leading a team of passionate Educators. 

You'll work split shifts, supporting our Monday-Friday hours: 6:30am-9:00am (Rise then Shine) and 3:00pm-6:30pm (Stay and Play). Extra hours are also available during school holidays  

About the service:

Sustainability and gardening are at the heart of the program in Beaconsfield, with access to beautiful outdoor spaces that allow children to connect with nature, grow their own produce, and learn about caring for the environment in practical and meaningful ways.

Beaconsfield OSHClub is more than just a busy service-it's a place of connection. With strong community partnerships and a close relationship with the school, you'll foster strong family engagement through daily conversations, community events, and opportunities for families to be involved in the life of the service.

About the role 

With the backing of a dedicated state-specific office and the mentorship of regional managers who visit regularly, you'll be empowered to shine in your role while developing your skills as a leader. It's your chance to make a real impact while being part of a supportive, high-energy team 

• Develop and facilitate an engaging child-centered program full of exciting experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, art and craft - whatever you and the children are into 
• Foster healthy relationships with children, the school, community, and parents 
• Lead a team of Educators onsite, including roster management 
• Manage the day-to-day operations of your service including compliance and administration

We can teach you about the job and sector, but a few basics you need to have: 

Enjoys working with children and making a positive impact  

Communicates clearly and confidently  

Works well in a team and aspires to grow into a leadership role  

Holds (or is willing to obtain) a National Police Check and a Working with Children check  

Has Australian work rights 

Obtained or studying towards a relevant diploma level qualification to work with kids in OSHC per ACECQA
