Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Wirraka Maya Health Service Aboriginal Corporation in South Hedland. As a vital member of our Clinic department, you will play a key role in providing high-quality healthcare services to the local community, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive and culturally sensitive care.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients within the clinic setting.
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Participate in health promotion and education activities for patients and their families.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Adhere to relevant clinical guidelines, policies, and procedures to ensure safe and effective care delivery.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of clinical practices and service delivery within the Organisation.
- Provide direct nursing care, including wound dressing, vaccinations, and health assessments.
- Support doctors and other healthcare professionals during medical examinations and procedures.
- Collaborate with community members to promote culturally sensitive healthcare practices.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Postgraduate Qualification in Nursing Specialty (e.g., Child Health, Sexual Health)
- Experience working with electronic medical record systems
- Experience in general practice nursing
- Experience administering medications and vaccinations
- Time management and prioritisation skills
- Attention to detail
- Strong clinical nursing skills
