Join C&K Oonoonba Community Kindergarten as our dedicated Director-Teacher, leading a warm, inclusive, and play-based learning environment where every child feels safe, makes friends, and belongs.

Located on Lakeland Boulevard in Idalia, just seven kilometres south of Townsville, Oonoonba offers an open, natural learning environment where children explore, investigate, and extend their learning through play.

You'll guide a passionate team of educators who build strong relationships with families and nurture each child's curiosity, confidence, and resilience. With two kindy groups of up to 22 children, Oonoonba operates during Queensland school terms, ensuring quality early education and a strong sense of community.

• Permanent part-time position
• Working 8:00am – 3:30pm Thursday, Friday and alternate Wednesdays
• Group size of 22 children maximum
• Access to the kindergarten is via the Oonoonba State School

What you'll bring

If you're committed to guiding children's early learning and development, we'll set you up for success

We strongly uphold our child safety policies and procedures. To thrive and succeed in this role, you will have:

• An ACECQA approved Bachelor's Degree of Early Childhood Education or equivalent
• Approved Child Protection Training or the willingness to obtain.
• First Aid, CPR and Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification.
• Valid Blue Card or Exemption Card.
• Current Police Check
• Knowledge of the National Quality Framework and Standards and the Early Years Learning Framework and Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guide.
