Our client is a leading organisation undertaking a significant transformation program to enhance its governance, risk, and compliance frameworks. As part of this initiative, they are uplifting their Protecht system to serve as the key enabling technology for their enhanced risk and compliance capabilities. They are seeking an experienced professional to lead this critical project and ensure its successful delivery.

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) System Implementation Lead to oversee the design and implementation of their Protecht system uplift. This role will be pivotal in ensuring the successful delivery of the Protecht roadmap, which is central to their transformation program.

In this role, you will act as the primary liaison between the Enterprise Risk team, internal stakeholders, and external vendors. You will manage project timelines, deliverables, risks, and stakeholder engagement while providing high-level reporting to senior management. Additionally, you will lead future-state design processes and training initiatives to drive adoption of the enhanced system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Protecht Uplift: Oversee the successful delivery of the Protecht roadmap, including defining scope, business requirements, and acceptance criteria.
  • Decision-Making & Escalation Point: Act as the primary decision-maker and escalation point for Enterprise Risk Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Foster effective collaboration with cross-functional teams across the organization.
  • Testing Oversight: Manage user acceptance test (UAT) planning, test case creation, execution, and production verification testing for deployment releases.
  • Future-State Design Leadership: Lead the design process for future-state initiatives within the GRC framework.
  • Training Development & Delivery: Design and deliver training programs to ensure seamless adoption by end-users.
  • High-Level Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior management on project progress, risks, and issues.
About You

You are a results-driven professional with a proven track record in implementing Governance Risk and Compliance systems. You bring a strong mix of technical expertise in GRC platforms (e.g., Protecht), project management skills, and stakeholder engagement capabilities. Your ability to manage complex projects while fostering collaboration makes you an ideal fit for this role.

Key Qualifications:
  • Minimum 7 years' professional experience in project management or risk-related roles.
  • Proven experience implementing GRC systems (Protecht preferred or similar platforms).
  • Strong understanding of risk management frameworks and compliance processes.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex projects with competing priorities.
  • Experience overseeing user acceptance testing (UAT) and production verification testing.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders effectively.
  • Experience designing and delivering training programs for system implementations.
  • Financial services industry experience is highly desirable but not mandatory.
