*The Role
An opportunity has become available for a/several Clinical Nurse Consultant (Neurosurgical) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
Provide expert clinical service, advice and review in nurse-led clinics
Provide effective, visible clinical and professional leadership to nursing staff
Oversee long-term care coordination support and education to patients and families in the patient care journey
Participate in the identification and proactive response to patient safety and quality issues
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Base salary ranging from $132,562 - $143,924 per annum

The Neurosurgical Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) role works with the Head, Neck, Oral and Neurosurgical (HNON) Service Line and will focus on providing high level clinical support through the patient care journey, delivering education and support for our patient population and the clinicians who care for them. Supporting multidisciplinary communication and promoting continuity of care throughout the patient journey.
