An excellent opportunity is available for a motivated & skilled Bookkeeper to join the growing bookkeeping team at our Accounting and Advisory firm located in Surrey Hills.

Your proven experience working in a public accounting practice or bookkeeping firm, will enhance our team with your exceptional skills to deliver the highest level of professional service to our clients.

We are looking to recruit a full time or part time Bookkeeper, who can deliver quality service to our clients.

The Role

You'll be entrusted with:

  • Comprehensive bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients (predominately Xero clients)
  • Processing of payroll and superannuation
  • BAS/IAS lodgements, account reconciliations, EOFY prep
  • Bank reconciliations and month‑end reporting
  • Preparing workpapers for review by senior accountants
  • Direct liaison with clients and occasional interactions with the ATO
  • Contributing to team improvements across processes and training

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Proven public practice bookkeeping experience is essential
  • Skilled in Xero; MYOB, QuickBooks and other accounting software knowledge is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of GST, PAYG, payroll awards and reporting obligations
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills
  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Bookkeeping or Accounting preferred but not essential
