About the facility

Our major sites include University Hospital Geelong in Geelong's CBD, the McKellar Centre precinct in North Geelong, Barwon Health North in Norlane, and residential aged care facilities spanning the region. Comprehensive mental health, community health and dental services are delivered through various programs across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac.

The Gastroenterology Service offered at Barwon Health has seen substantial growth in recent years with the addition of a number of new outpatient clinics including IBD, Endoscopy and Chronic Liver Disease. The service has also expanded its general outpatient clinics to continue to meet the needs of our growing Barwon Southwest population.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Gastroenterologist to take up temporary sessional hours (parental leave cover) from early November 2025 until late June 2026. The role of our Gastroenterologists is to ensure the delivery of safe, patient centred, evidence-based and efficient care for Gastroenterology patients.
