We are seeking a motivated Trainee or Experienced Dental Assistant (with some receptionist duties) to join our friendly team at Dental Studio Mooroolbark in September 2025 with interviews taking place ASAP. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to begin a career in dental assisting with on-site training provided.

  • Job Types: Full-Time (38 hours per week)
  • Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday (half day)
  • Pay: $25-$30 per hour, based on experience and according to the MA000027 Awards
  • Location: Dental Studio Mooroolbark

Key Responsibilities:

  • Chair-side dental assisting for the Dentist, including assisting with procedures and managing materials/instruments.
  • Sterilisation of instruments and maintaining infection control standards.
  • Managing patient appointments and communication.
  • Greeting patients and providing excellent customer service.
  • Taking phone calls and responding to patient inquiries.
  • Processing invoices, making health insurance claims, and handling EFTPOS payments.

Required Skills & Attributes:

  • Comfortable speaking to people over the phone with a warm and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to follow instructions and established protocols, while being adaptable when needed.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask efficiently.
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly.
  • Excellent customer service skills (experience in customer service or receptionist duties is a plus but not required).
  • Ability to use computers and phones effectively; training will be provided for our practice management software.

No prior experience in dental assisting or reception is required.
