- Assist in the resolution of technical support issues for server hardware and software.
- Maintain, monitor and troubleshoot physical and virtual server infrastructure.
- Maintain, monitor and troubleshoot the Windows and Linux server environment.
- Maintain, monitor and troubleshoot storage arrays and related devices.
- Maintain, monitor and troubleshoot network-based services: File and Print services, Email, Active Directory, DHCP/DNS/WINS
- Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot messaging and meeting systems: conference room equipment, audio/video conferencing, etc.
- Administer, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot the Azure VM environment.
- Perform additional tasks as requested, including but not limited to:
- data backups
- disaster recovery
- recommendation, testing and procurement of IT-related hardware and software
- document systems and processes
- recommend and effect policy
- Serve as main escalation point for systems related issues
- Other duties as assigned
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Working knowledge of LAN and WAN topologies and architecture.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft server, Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange and SharePoint.
- Working knowledge of Server and PC operating systems, including Windows 2016, 2019, and 2022, as well as Linux OS Redhat, CentOS, Suse Linux, and Debian
- Working knowledge of configuring and maintaining VMware and virtual environments.
- Experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining all servers, storage arrays, and related equipment, including replication, mirroring, and de-duplication services.
- Experience in configuring and running Microsoft DHCP and DNS services.
- Some knowledge of IP Telephony
- Working knowledge of PC hardware and components, including processors, motherboards, accessories, cards, and peripherals.
- Working knowledge of PC/LAN application software
- Working knowledge of IT security
- Strong client service skills required.
- Develop effective working relationships with clients, co-workers and vendors.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of management and IT clients.
- Ability to interface with technical staff and vendors.
- Some working knowledge of Microsoft Azure and M365 licensing and suite
- Ability to navigate O365 Exchange and Azure AD
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems or related field preferred. Industry certifications will be considered along with experience for non-degreed candidates.
- Minimum requirements: 5 – 7 years of experience providing information technology administration services in a Windows environment at a Senior or equivalent level.
Work Arrangement: This is a remote position. The successful candidate will not need to work on-site and can be based anywhere in Australia, as long as they have reliable internet access and can collaborate effectively across different time zones.
