As they continue to expand, they are seeking a highly skilled Accountant to join their team and contribute to their ongoing success.

Position Overview

As the Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in the finance team, reporting directly to the Managing Director in Newcastle and maintaining a dotted line to the CFO based in China. This role will supervise the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions, ensuring the smooth operation of the company's financial activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage monthly financial statements and reports.
  • Oversee and manage the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and internal financial policies.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Conduct variance analysis to provide insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare financial reports and updates for the Managing Director and collaborate closely with senior management.
  • Maintain alignment with global financial strategies through regular communication with the CFO in China.
  • Assist with audit preparation and liaise with external auditors to ensure accurate and timely completion.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 2-3 years of demonstrated experience as an Accountant.
  • Previous experience in a similar industry is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
