Lead the Charge Towards a Sustainable Future

Join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping Horizon Power's environmental and sustainability strategy. In this role you'll lead key initiatives that support our transition to a low-carbon future and embed sustainable practices across the business.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Drive enhancements to the Greenhouse Gas Accounting database to unlock decarbonisation insights and ensure credible reporting.
  • Lead climate risk and resilience assessments in partnership with internal teams and external experts.
  • Embed carbon reduction into core business processes and performance metrics, powering corporate decarbonisation.
  • Shape and deliver a bold, company-wide Sustainability Strategy, while owning ESG disclosures and reporting frameworks.
  • Champion circular economy principles, integrating sustainability into governance and investment decisions.
  • Own sustainability data analysis and reporting, covering regulatory submissions, performance tracking, and executive communications.

What You'll Bring to Succeed

  • Sustainability Leadership: Demonstrated experience in embedding sustainable practices into business operations and influencing strategic decision making.
  • Regulatory Expertise: Hands-on experience working within carbon emissions and sustainability reporting frameworks, with a clear understanding of governance and disclosure.
  • Risk & Trend Analysis: Skilled in identifying emerging sustainability risks and anticipating operational impacts.
  • Technology Foresight: Skilled in evaluating innovations that drive decarbonisation and climate resilience.
  • Relevant Tertiary Education: Degree qualified in Science, Environment, Sustainability, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Safety-First Mindset: Proven experience operating within safety critical environments, and a strong grasp of how environmental risks intersect with workplace health and safety
