The RoleThe Recruitment Officer plays an important role in delivering efficient, customer-focused recruitment services that support the Department and TAFE Colleges. You'll assist with redeployment clearance, advertising, selection, and appointment processes, ensuring these are completed accurately and within agreed timeframes. By applying relevant policies, procedures, and Public Sector Standards, you'll help maintain compliance and provide accurate, timely information to clients and selection panels.
Your ability to quickly learn recruitment systems such as RAMS and HR management tools will support consistent service delivery, while your attention to detail will ensure records are maintained in line with departmental and government requirements. You'll contribute to service improvement initiatives, stay informed on system updates and agency processes, and work collaboratively within a team to adapt to changing priorities and support branch goals.
To be effective in this role, you will need to confidently support clients with recruitment advice and services, applying sound judgement and demonstrating a clear understanding of public sector requirements. You'll work comfortably within established policies, systems, and procedures to ensure compliance and deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes.
You are proactive and adaptable, and able to manage tasks independently while recognising when to seek guidance. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to service excellence will help you stay organised, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy across recruitment processes.
While direct recruitment experience isn't essential, experience in a structured, client-focused service delivery environment will be highly regarded.
