We're on the hunt for Full-Time and Part-Time Vet Nurses to join our Emergency & Critical Care team where every shift counts, every patient matters, and no two nights are ever the same.

At ARH Canberra, you'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with specialists in Medicine and Surgery, and collaborate with our Rehabilitation department for truly holistic patient care. This is where skill meets heart and chaos meets calm.

Job Description

  • Deliver gold-standard nursing care to emergency and hospitalised patients
  • Support veterinarians with diagnostics, treatments, and emergency procedures
  • Monitor patients, administer medications, and maintain accurate medical records
  • Assist in surgical and critical care cases as required
  • Communicate effectively and empathetically with clients during stressful situations
  • Uphold hospital policies, infection control standards, and safety procedures
  • Contribute positively to team culture and knowledge sharing

Qualifications

  • Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent qualification)
  • Minimum 2+ years clinical experience (GP or Emergency)
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility to work evenings, nights, weekends, and public holidays as part of a rotating roster
  • Commitment to professional growth and continuing education
