About the role:

Portrush Family Dental, a well-established and reputable dental practice in Payneham, SA, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team on a part-time basis working Monday & Tuesday with the potential to pick up more days as required. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our dentists and ensuring the smooth operation of our practice, contributing to the delivery of exceptional patient care.

The position requires the applicant to work the following:

  • Monday & Tuesday 8:30am- 6:00pm
  • With the potential to pick up more days as required.

What you'll be doing:

  • Assisting dentists during various procedures by passing instruments, providing suction, and ensuring a clean and organised work environment
  • Sterilising and maintaining dental equipment and instruments
  • Preparing treatment rooms and ensuring they are stocked with necessary supplies
  • Greeting patients, managing patient records, and providing administrative support as needed
  • Educating patients on oral hygiene and providing post-treatment instructions
  • Adhering to all relevant health and safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organised work environment

What we're looking for:

  • Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or similar role, preferably in a dental practice setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide excellent customer service to patients
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in using dental equipment and software
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • A passion for dentistry and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care
