As our Senior Go-To-Market Project Manager, reporting to our Marketing Director – Strategy, Menu & Innovation, you'll project manage high priority cross-functional projects that drive food/beverage & restaurant innovation across KFC Australia markets. 

You'll oversee end-to-end execution of major strategic initiatives, including innovation launch, ingredient sourcing, equipment, supply chain, distribution and restaurant design / fit-out implementation for innovation projects.

ABOUT YOU – OUR NEXT ORIGINAL 

  • Senior project and program management experience within FMCG, QSR, retail, or innovation-led environments.
  • Commercial acumen - e.g. experience in business case development, capital investment planning, and ROI analysis.
  • Expertise in go-to-market strategy, product lifecycle management, and customer insight integration.
  • Advanced stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
  • Ability to navigate complex organisational structures, ensuring alignment at executive and operational levels.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management abilities,
  • Confidence in presenting to senior leadership and external partners.
  • Demonstrated capability in leading high-performing cross functional project teams.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and bring clarity through structured problem-solving and critical thinking frameworks.
  • Experience operating in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain operations, food development processes, and restaurant/retail implementation dynamics.
  • Proficiency in project delivery methodologies e.g. Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid models.
  • Certification in Agile Scrum Master, PMP, or PRINCE2 is highly regarded.
  • Change leadership capability, with experience developing and implementing structured change management approaches across large-scale initiatives.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF YOUR NEW ROLE

Project Delivery

  • Manage end-to-end delivery of multiple high-profile innovation (food & restaurant) projects — including new product introductions, associated equipment rollouts, and store layout enhancements.
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams (Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, Food Innovation, Training, Equipment distribution, Finance, Property, and Franchisees) to ensure seamless execution.
  • Identify and manage project risks, dependencies, and critical paths to ensure successful delivery.

Implementation in Restaurants

  • Oversee planning and coordination of in-restaurant implementation (equipment installation, training, store readiness).
  • Ensure that operational teams and franchisees are fully equipped and trained prior to launch.
  • Manage pilot testing and phased rollouts, capturing learnings for continuous improvement.

Stakeholder & Communication Management

  • Act as the key liaison between corporate teams and restaurant operations.
  • Communicate project updates to the Steer Co (members of the KFC leadership team) e.g. milestones, performance outcomes.
  • Facilitate effective feedback loops between restaurant teams and project owners.

Continuous Improvement & Governance

  • Embed project management best practices and governance standards within the business.
  • Measure and track project performance, impact, and ROI.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance speed to market, and improve execution quality
