Position: Primary and Secondary Education Tutors (Casual role with potential progression to full-time)

Subjects:     - English (Years 1-12 EAL/EFL/AEAS) ;

What You'll Do:

  • Deliver engaging lessons in one-on-one or small-group formats, tailored to each learner's strengths and goals.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure continuity in learning and support the integration of tutoring sessions.
  • Stay up-to-date with curriculum changes and educational best practices to enhance teaching methods and approaches.
  • Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages student confidence and academic growth.

Who You Are:

  • Demonstrated expertise in English through advanced coursework, high academic achievement, or relevant teaching experience.
  • Holder of (or eligible for) a WWCC or VIT registration.
  • Comfortable working after school and on weekends.
  • Experienced (or eager) in tutoring or teaching primary/secondary students.
  • Familiar with the Victorian curriculum and VCAA study design, with the ability to adapt your approach for diverse learners.
  • Patient, empathetic, and an outstanding communicator - able to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement in teaching practices.
  • Organised and able to prepare and tailor lesson plans/worksheets using basic office applications such as PowerPoint slides, PDF and Zoom
  • Bonus: IB teaching experience
