The Opportunity:
Come and join our team We are seeking a Community Disability Support Worker located in Beechworth only 30 minutes from Wangaratta. You will be responsible for support a customer with daily living tasks, supporting them to live an independent and holistic life. Each day may look a little different but your work will be centred around the following:
- Providing support in everyday daily activities around the home
- Providing support with hygiene and personal care
- Assistance, support, and chaperoning activities outside the home environment
- Assisting with medication compliance which may include the dispensation of prescription medication
- Assistance with slide transfers
- Comfortable with dogs
What shifts are we offering?
Week 1:
- Monday: 6:00PM-12:00AM + inactive sleepover 12:00AM - 8:00AM
- Friday: 6:00PM-12:00AM + inactive sleepover 12:00AM - 8:00AM
Week 2:
- Saturday: 8:00AM-12:00PM
- Friday: 6:00PM-12:00AM + inactive sleepover 12:00AM - 8:00AM
To be successful in this role you will have:
- A minimum qualification of a Certificate III in Induvial Support
- At least one year experience as a Disability Support Worker
- Drivers License, reliable vehicle and comprehensive car insurance
- NDIS Clearance, First Aid (3 yrs), CPR (12 months) & National police clearance - or willingness to obtain
- Manual handling certification
