Project Support Services Manager

We have a role available for a
Project Support Services (PSS) Manager
to join our Defence division and support this contract. This is a permanent full-time position that could be based at any of the main defence bases in the Northern Territory.

About the role

You will lead a team of PSS Coordinators and Administrators responsible for ensuring the delivery of project support services across multiple defence bases. This role is accountable for the PSS function meeting Defence and contractual deliverables.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Engaging with project stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of project progress delivery requirements and providing advice on its construction and maintenance.
• Enhancing the performance of PSS by monitoring and tracking internal metrics to ensure operational efficiency.
• Leading and enhancing PSS and handover-takeover (HOTO) processes to ensure requirements are delivered in accordance with Defence policies and procedures.
• Developing strong stakeholder relationships with base management teams, PAS teams, project delivery agents (PDS, CFI, NPS), and the internal project team, identifying areas for improvement and optimisations for service delivery.

About you

Our ideal candidate will have:

• Extensive experience in project management or project support roles, preferably within Defence or similar environment.
• Experience in engaging and managing relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Proven track record of leading process improvements and ensuring compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.
• Tertiary qualification in Project Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• Certification in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) would be advantageous.

You must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
