Truss Jig Setter and Cutter

We're seeking an experienced Truss Jig Setter and Cutter to work on a part time basis in our fast-paced manufacturing facility. This role involves setting up jigs, cutting timber components, and ensuring precise assembly of roof trusses. As a part time position, you'll enjoy flexible hours Monday to Friday 1.00pm to 9.00pm, with potential for overtime, starting at 38 hours per week, with competitive pay and the opportunity for ongoing work based on performance and business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and adjust jigs according to blueprints, specifications, and production schedules.
• Operate saws, nail guns, and other power tools to cut timber accurately and efficiently.
• Assemble truss components, ensuring compliance with quality standards and safety protocols.
• Inspect materials for defects and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets.
• Adhere to all workplace health and safety (WHS) guidelines, including PPE usage.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Truss Jig Setter, Cutter, or similar role in frame and truss manufacturing (minimum 1-2 years preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and machinery (e.g., radial arm saws, jig systems).
• Strong attention to detail, physical fitness, and ability to lift heavy materials (up to 25kg).
• Reliable, punctual, and a team player with a positive attitude.
• Forklift license experience is a bonus but not essential (training provided if needed).
• Own transport preferred due to late finish 9.00pm and location in St Mary, NSW.
• Must have rights to work in Australia; white card (construction induction) advantageous.

Pay: $32.00 – $35.00 per hour
