What will you be doing?

As a Senior Network Engineer at Chamonix IT Solutions, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing our clients' network infrastructure. You will collaborate with both clients and internal teams to ensure secure, reliable, and high-performing network operations. This role will involve working with clients in Microsoft-centric environments, and the ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in networking concepts, security, and hybrid cloud integration.

Responsibilities:

  • Network Design and Implementation: Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement robust and scalable network solutions, ensuring high performance, security, and reliability.
  • Infrastructure Optimization: Evaluate and optimize existing network infrastructure to enhance performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
  • Security Integration: Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Implement network monitoring tools and proactively troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal network performance and minimize downtime.
  • Collaboration and Documentation: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide network solutions. Maintain comprehensive documentation for network configurations and procedures.

Experience required:

You have at least 5 years of experience in network engineering, with a solid understanding of both traditional and modern networking technologies.

  • Network Design and Implementation: Proven experience in designing and implementing complex network solutions.
  • Security Integration: Strong understanding of network security principles, with experience in implementing security measures.
  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Proficiency in network monitoring tools and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Collaboration and Documentation: Excellent collaboration and communication skills, coupled with meticulous documentation habits.
  • Technical Proficiency: Solid understanding of networking protocols, hardware, and software, with experience in both on-premises and cloud-based environments.

Key technologies you'll work with include:

  • Cisco routing and switching, wireless LANs, firewalls, SD-WAN, and data center networking
  • Palo Alto Next-Generation Firewalls and centralized management tools
  • Aruba switching, wireless infrastructure, and access control solutions
  • Microsoft Azure networking, including VNets, NSGs, Azure Firewall, ExpressRoute, and hybrid integrations

Preferred certifications: CCNP, PCNSE, Azure Network Engineer Associate, or Aruba ACSA/ACSP.
