We are currently seeking a Training Program Developer to join our team located in Warrnambool, Victoria. This role is responsible for designing, developing and delivering training programs that align with business needs, compliance requirements and the organisation's strategic direction and values. Working closely with department leaders and subject matter experts, the successful candidate will identify and address current and future training needs, and leverage technology including AI tools, 360-degree content, storyboarding techniques and the Canvas LMS to create engaging, immersive and effective learning experiences.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Training Needs Analysis & Alignment:

  • Participate in training needs analyses (TNA) across departments to identify capability gaps
  • Align training programs with business objectives, compliance standards, and organisational values
  • Identify emerging trends and regulatory changes to inform proactive training strategies

Design & Development:

  • Design and develop blended learning programs, including eLearning, microlearning, and instructor-led training
  • Use the Canvas LMS to create and manage training content
  • Leverage AI tools, 360-degree content, and storyboarding techniques to produce immersive learning experiences
  • Apply structured instructional design principles to deliver engaging and accessible learning

Training Delivery & Support:

  • Deliver or support the delivery of training sessions, both in-person and on the job
  • Provide post-training resources and support to encourage knowledge retention and practical application
  • Evaluate training outcomes using learner feedback and performance metrics

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Work closely with department heads, subject matter experts, and the L&D team to ensure content relevance and accuracy
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of training practices across the organisation

Compliance & Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure training programs meet relevant compliance standards and frameworks (e.g., ASQA)
  • Maintain thorough documentation and records to support audit and quality assurance processes

SKILLS & EXPERIENCES:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Training, Information Technology, or a relevant field
  • Experience with Canvas LMS or similar learning management systems
  • Strong understanding of instructional design and adult learning principles
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and other digital content creation tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to conduct training needs analyses and align learning solutions with business strategy
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise effectively
  • Creativity, flexibility, and innovation in training design and delivery
