The Department of Education in the North Queensland region is looking for Psychologists to join our school-based wellbeing teams.
If you are interested in becoming a part of this exciting early-intervention service and making an incredible difference in the lives of young people in an educational setting, then this is the role for you.
We are open to either a Full-time or Part-time arrangement, with the FTE to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
The Student Wellbeing Package will ensure every Queensland primary and secondary state school student has access to a wellbeing professional at school.
About the Role
The focus of the role is to provide support for students with mild to moderate mental health concerns in Townsville-based schools. Wellbeing professionals employed through the Student Wellbeing Package work as part of schools' established student support teams to enhance the wellbeing and mental health support available to students. This is a dynamic, school-based role.
As a Senior Psychologist you will:
- Provide professional support and information for students, parents, carers and school communities that facilitate partnerships in decision making for the enhancement of all students' learning.
- Provide services such as counselling, assessment and intervention, focusing on students' mental health and wellbeing.
