This role plays a key part with a strong focus on contract management, vendor performance, financial oversight, and procurement compliance. You'll work closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure high performance and value-for-money outcomes across a portfolio of projects running over the next four years.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide commercial advice and guidance to engaged vendors, supporting strong delivery outcomes.
  • Lead vendor performance management, including monthly 360 reviews and KPI tracking.
  • Manage and track vendor progress payments and ensure financial reporting aligns with program budgets.
  • Support procurement processes, contract variations, and value-for-money assessments.
  • Act as the key escalation point for vendor-related issues, ensuring timely resolution and stakeholder engagement.
  • Maintain accurate records of non-labour financials, forecasts, and change request impacts.
  • Work closely with procurement and finance teams to support governance and reporting requirements.
  • Contribute to the development of best-practice reporting tools, dashboards, and procedures.

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • At least 5 years' experience in vendor performance or contract management, ideally with technology vendors and systems integrators.
  • A strong understanding of contract negotiation, procurement policy, and vendor relationship management.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex vendor performance frameworks, including milestone deliverables.
  • Sound knowledge of financial tracking, budgeting, and forecasting within a program environment.
  • The ability to clearly communicate deliverables, timelines, risks, and outcomes to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Confidence in managing vendor escalations and resolving issues effectively and diplomatically.
  • Experience working under government frameworks such as GITC or QITC is highly desirable.

  • Previous experience supporting large-scale programs within government environments (local, state, or federal).
  • Familiarity with Earned Value reporting.
