Salary range:
$191,889 + superannuation + regional allowance if based regionally.
The Role
Southern Ports is seeking a Data and Integration Lead to drive the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-wide data and integration solutions that support business operations and decision-making. This role combines technical expertise with leadership, ensuring data is accurate, accessible, and well-integrated across systems in line with compliance requirements.
In this role you will lead a small team, manage resources and work closely with stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes. The role is hands-on and delivery-focused, with a strong emphasis on enabling the business through reliable, timely, and usable data.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and implementation of data and integration solutions
Design and develop CI/CD pipelines for data management
Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance with relevant legislation
Deliver integration architecture and support analytics and visualisation platforms (e.g. Azure, Power BI and ESRI GIS)
Act as a trusted advisor for data-driven initiatives
Promote data reuse and modern data practices across the organisation
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver fit-for-purpose solutions
Contribute to enterprise data strategy and continuous improvement initiatives
Manage and mentor a team
The Expertise
You are an experienced data and integration professional with a strong technical foundation and a practical, delivery-oriented mindset. You enjoy working closely with the business to solve problems and improve data outcomes, and you are comfortable leading a team and managing competing priorities.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
Certifications such as Azure Data Engineer, TOGAF, ITIL, Agile, PMP
Minimum of 5 years of experience in data architecture, analytics or a related field
Demonstrated leadership experience managing technical teams
Extensive experience with data visualisation tools, particularly Power BI
Experience in managing master data and data governance frameworks
Previous experience in a governance role (and/or in conducting compliance audits and risk assessments
