Salary range:

$191,889 + superannuation + regional allowance if based regionally.

The Role

Southern Ports is seeking a Data and Integration Lead to drive the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-wide data and integration solutions that support business operations and decision-making. This role combines technical expertise with leadership, ensuring data is accurate, accessible, and well-integrated across systems in line with compliance requirements.

In this role you will lead a small team, manage resources and work closely with stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes. The role is hands-on and delivery-focused, with a strong emphasis on enabling the business through reliable, timely, and usable data.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of data and integration solutions

• Design and develop CI/CD pipelines for data management

• Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance with relevant legislation

• Deliver integration architecture and support analytics and visualisation platforms (e.g. Azure, Power BI and ESRI GIS)

• Act as a trusted advisor for data-driven initiatives

• Promote data reuse and modern data practices across the organisation

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver fit-for-purpose solutions

• Contribute to enterprise data strategy and continuous improvement initiatives

• Manage and mentor a team

The Expertise

You are an experienced data and integration professional with a strong technical foundation and a practical, delivery-oriented mindset. You enjoy working closely with the business to solve problems and improve data outcomes, and you are comfortable leading a team and managing competing priorities.

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field

• Certifications such as Azure Data Engineer, TOGAF, ITIL, Agile, PMP

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data architecture, analytics or a related field

• Demonstrated leadership experience managing technical teams

• Extensive experience with data visualisation tools, particularly Power BI

• Experience in managing master data and data governance frameworks

• Previous experience in a governance role (and/or in conducting compliance audits and risk assessments
