Employment Coach – Your Jobs Now (SLES)
Opportunity:
• Role: Permanent Full Time
• Work Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:36pm (38 hours per week)
• Location: Primarily based in Dandenong with the requirement to work at other YJN sites when needed

About Us:
The Bridge is a progressive not-for-profit organisation delivering services to people with disability, and from disadvantaged backgrounds, throughout the south-eastern and northern Melbourne community. What does an Employment Coach do?
As an Employment Coach, you'll mentor and support people with disabilities to build their skills, confidence, and readiness for work. You'll help participants identify their goals, develop their strengths, and connect with meaningful employment opportunities. You will:
- Coach participants aged 16 and over through our Youth Jobs Now and Your Jobs Now programs
- Deliver engaging employability workshops (in-person and online)
- Develop tailored training materials and work portfolios
- Track progress and provide ongoing one-on-one and group support
- Build relationships with employers and pursue work experience or job placements
- Communicate with participants, families, and stakeholders to ensure positive outcomes
- Complete administrative tasks to support smooth service delivery
- Every day is different — you'll be inspiring people to discover their potential and achieve their employment goals.
About You:
You're passionate about helping people and building genuine connections. You bring energy, positivity, and strong communication skills to everything you do. You'll thrive in this role if you:
- Enjoy supporting others and achieving positive outcomes
- Work well both independently and in a team
- Can confidently run engaging group sessions or training
- Have experience working with people with disabilities (advantageous)
- Are tech-savvy and comfortable using Teams or Zoom
- Are organised, proactive, and good at managing time and records
- Hold a current Victorian Driver's License and can use your own vehicle for work
