The Group Finance team provides financial support, insights and advice to the CEO, CFO, Executive Leadership Team and Board including Group Results presentation and the Annual report. We support the Group's strategy of building tomorrow's bank today for our customers, through a focus on three key priorities of trust, resilience and capital generation.

You will be part of the Regulatory Reporting Change team helping to implement a variety of projects and regulatory change with a team of industry leading Finance and IT professionals. Regulatory reporting change includes regulator driven changes (e.g. new or changed regulatory returns) as well as supporting internal projects that impact regulatory reporting (e.g. new product launches, system changes).

The Capital & Regulatory Reporting Crew is responsible for providing capital and reporting guidance and overseeing the delivery of all capital and reporting changes.  This includes changes for system upgrades and enhancements; risk modelling updates; new or variations to products; and changes to internal and external reporting.

The Crew oversee the following:

  • Regulatory Compliance to the capital and regulatory reporting standards;

  • Maintenance of the capital and reporting engines and system processes;

  • Business changes impacting capital and reporting e.g. new products, system changes, unique transaction types;

  • Business engagement, readiness and technology coordination of APRA changes impacting capital and regulatory reporting; and

  • Leveraging of the Group Strategic Platforms to deliver the new regulatory capital and reporting requirements.

  • Utilize tools such as SQL, Ab Initio, Tableau, and Alteryx to deep dive into issues identified in the regulatory reporting process.

  • Perform data analysis and visualization of large datasets.

  • Drive continuous improvements to reporting processes and solutions.

  • Lead the use of analytic techniques to drive business insights and enable data-driven decisions across regulatory reporting.

  • Champion productivity and process improvement across the team, fostering collaboration, coaching, and recognition.

  • Develop and maintain strong stakeholder engagement by collaborating with business units.

  • Work with Regulatory Reporting, technology, and business stakeholders to resolve defects and identify enhancements.

  • Support the Regulatory Reporting team by reviewing regulatory reporting assumptions and logic.

  • Promote a high-performance culture and provide excellent customer service.

Other qualities you may possess include

  • Proven experience in data analysis, insights, and analytics within financial services.

  • Expertise in financial and regulatory reporting, with a strong emphasis on Group reporting.

  • Advanced analytical skills to interpret and evaluate complex data and business processes.

  • Proficiency in BI tools, such as Tableau, is desirable and experience with tools like Alteryx is highly regarded.

  • A natural curiosity and drive to leverage data for identifying new opportunities and making impactful business decisions.

  • Solid numeracy and accounting skills with a deep understanding of financial products.

  • Customer-focused and outcome-driven, fostering a culture that values customer satisfaction.

  • Ability to understand business drivers and produce valuable business insights and analysis.

  • Experience with RDBMS (Teradata, Oracle, MS SQL Server) and proficiency in SQL or other data integration/ETL tools.
