Senior Manager, Regulatory Reporting

What's the role?
We're looking for a leader of leaders to backfill a Senior Manager, Regulatory Reporting position to cover a 9-month parental leave absence. This leadership position will ideally see you based in either Paramatta or Adelaide, but we're open to considering experienced applicants from any state within Australia.
You'll oversee a mature team of colleagues managing day-to-day financial crime prevention activities focused on regulatory reporting, including Suspicious Matter Reports (SMRs), International Funds Transfer Instructions (IFTIs), and Transaction Threshold Reports (TTRs). You'll have 4 x Direct onshore reports, 44 x onshore Analysts and 7 x Direct reports offshore.
This role combines significant leadership, operational discipline, and strategic oversight. You'll ensure compliance with regulatory obligations, optimise processes, and drive continuous improvement with an AI overlay while managing risks related to money laundering, terrorist financing, and other financial crimes.
What do I need?
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Extensive experience in either domestic or international financial crime prevention with hands on experience in AI tooling for enhanced decisioning.
- Proven experience in regulatory reporting (SMRs, IFTIs, TTRs).
- Strong knowledge of financial crime regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills whilst supporting a team through AI and typology change.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement capability.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
