About the opportunity
The Middle Leader (Learning & Teaching) will be responsible for further refining the newly created Learning and Teaching Framework with a focus on;
- Deliberate, high-impact actions and strategies that will improve teaching and learning
- Targeted professional learning
- Collaborative planning through Professional Learning Communities
- Data informed decision making and;
- Classroom observation
- Leading the designated curriculum area(s) taught in the school
- Applying contemporary learning and teaching research to classroom practice through professional development of teachers engaged in the area(s) of curriculum responsibility
- Supervising and inducting teachers engaged in the area(s) of curriculum responsibility
- Analysing student performance data and addressing areas of concern through appropriate interventions
- Managing financial and material resources within the area of responsibility including the formulation of budgets and the expenditure of allocated funds.
About you
To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:
- Developed work programs in alignment with national, state, and local requirements.
- Driving the assessment and moderation process when developing new programs.
- Leading and innovating within a specified curriculum area.
- Stakeholder engagement fostering collaboration and transparency.
- Having responsibility for a financial budget.

- Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
- Current registration with Queensland College of Teachers.
