We're seeking a Cyber Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) Assurance Specialist to join a high-impact team dedicated to building secure, compliant, and resilient digital environments.

In this mission-critical role, you'll guide the application and operation of security controls, perform risk and business impact analyses, and provide expert advice on secure solution design. You'll contribute directly to protecting critical systems by identifying vulnerabilities, designing countermeasures, and ensuring ongoing compliance with industry standards.

What you'll be doing

  • Conducting comprehensive risk assessments across ICT systems, applications, and third-party vendors.
  • Evaluating and monitoring compliance with security requirements such as ISM, Essential Eight, ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR.
  • Developing and maintaining cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Performing gap analyses and recommending remediation strategies.
  • Supporting audits and certification processes (e.g., IRAP assessments).
  • Monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of security controls.
  • Translating complex technical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for senior executives.
  • Staying current with emerging threats, technologies, and regulatory changes.

What we're looking for

  • Strong experience authoring ICT system authorisation documentation such as SRMPs, SSPs, and SOPs.
  • Background in technical ICT areas including system administration, software development, or cloud computing.
  • Deep knowledge of cyber security standards including ISM and Essential Eight.
  • Familiarity with platforms and technologies such as AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, and Identity & Access Management.
  • Active NV1 security clearance.
  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, CRISC, CCSP, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, or IRAP highly regarded.
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of data protection, privacy legislation, and compliance requirements.
