Graphic Designer

Hospitality Mavens is a Sunshine Coast-based agency specialising in marketing, strategy and consulting for the hospitality industry. Formerly known as Maer Group, we've recently rebranded and continue to expand rapidly as we partner with leading clubs, pubs and hospitality venues across Australia.

We're looking for a talented and motivated Graphic Designer ready to take the next step in their career.

You'll work closely with our Account Managers and Marketing team to deliver high-quality creative across branding, campaigns, digital advertising, and website design.

As our first full time in-house designer, you'll take the lead in establishing a strong creative foundation — helping to refine our systems for managing design files, templates and brand assets as we continue to bring more of our creative services in-house.

This position offers the opportunity to work across a wide range of projects — from high-impact campaign concepts to day-to-day production artwork — with scope to help shape the creative direction of Hospitality Mavens and mentor future design team members as the team expands.

Key responsibilities:

Graphic Design

• Design promotional artwork, campaign materials and venue collateral.
• Develop creative assets for direct marketing campaigns (letters, eDMs, digital screens).
• Create and evolve brand identities, logos and style guides for client projects.
• Produce design concepts and assets for websites, landing pages and digital advertising.
• Develop brochures, posters and loyalty program collateral.
• Adapt and optimise creative for multiple platforms and formats.
• Maintain brand consistency across all visual communications.
• Contribute to creative ideation and concept development for campaigns.

Design Systems & Organisation

• Support the transition of more design work in-house, collaborating with the team to streamline creative processes.
• Establish and maintain an efficient file structure, asset library and version control for design projects.
• Ensure working files and templates are organised, accessible and well-documented for internal use.
• Champion best practices for creative workflow and handover between internal and external contributors.

Must have:

• Tertiary qualification in Graphic Design or equivalent experience.
• 3–5+ years of professional design experience (agency or in-house).
• A strong portfolio showcasing both digital and print work.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
• Excellent attention to detail, organisation and time management.
• Comfortable managing multiple design projects from concept to completion.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Permanent work rights in Australia

Nice to have:

• Experience in hospitality, lifestyle or entertainment industries.
• Familiarity with digital ad platforms (Meta, Google Ads) and web design processes.
• Understanding of CRM-based marketing (email/SMS) and campaign creative.
• Sunshine Coast-based, with availability to start soon.
• Interest in mentoring junior designers and contributing to a growing team.
