About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head of High School and High School Coordinator to join our leadership team. These roles focus on both student behaviour management and curriculum oversight for Years 7–12. Depending on the applicant's experience, the positions may be filled separately or by one exceptional candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coordinate, and oversee the high school teaching team.
- Manage and implement the high school curriculum in line with ACT education requirements.
- Monitor, support, and improve student behaviour across the high school.
- Work closely with teachers to ensure high-quality teaching and learning outcomes.
- Liaise with parents, staff, and students to foster positive school culture.
- Oversee assessment, reporting, and academic progress tracking.
- Lead staff professional development and contribute to school improvement initiatives.
About You
- Proven leadership experience in a secondary school setting.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum planning, assessment, and reporting for Years 7–12.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and improve student behaviour effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire, mentor, and lead staff in a collaborative environment.
- Commitment to the values and ethos of Taqwa School.
- Relevant teaching qualifications and current registration with ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) or ability to obtain.
