We're looking for an Earned Creative Director to be the driving force behind ideas that don't just get seen, but get talked about. You'll champion earned thinking and shape bold ideas that cut through the noise and set the standard for how brands show up in culture.
You are a creative leader who knows how to make brands famous through earned-first ideas. You can dream up stunts, activations, content and campaigns that spark conversations across PR, social, events and partnerships - ideas that demand attention and spread organically.
What you'll do
- Creative innovative, culture-shaping ideas that spark conversation and build brands.
- Project and elevate Special's earned creative reputation by producing award-winning work and thought leadership.
- Stretch big ideas across multiple earned touchpoints, ensuring every execution feels fresh, consistent and powerful.
- Inherent understanding of news value, testing every idea for media and cultural cut-through, instinctively knowing what makes a headline or a post designed to be shared.
- Partnering with the PR Creative Strategy Director, you will take earned-led creative strategies and turn them into earned creative ideas.
- Write with impact across scripts, social posts, op-eds, influencer briefs, presentations and award entries.
- Collaborate with production (Special Made) to shape shoots and create social-first assets.
- Use design and visual storytelling skills (Adobe Suite a plus) to bring ideas to life.
- Command the room with presentations that inspire, persuade and sell the story.
- Respond to briefs with rigour and originality, while uncovering proactive ideas that drive organic growth that open new opportunities.
- Partner with the PR Creative Strategy Director to lead the creative storytelling in pitches, by pairing brave creative thinking with cultural relevance.
- Contribute to the commercial health of accounts by unlocking earned ideas that deliver outsized impact.
- Build collaborative relationships and champion earned creativity across disciplines (PR, social, creative and strategy)
- Mentor and inspire colleagues, raising the bar for earned creativity and output
- Be a cultural beacon, ensuring earned-first creativity is at the what of everything we do

- Earned creative leadership experience (ideally in a PR or social agency).
