Operations Manager Karu Distillery.

We're looking for a motivated and highly organized Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day backend operations. This is a pivotal role for someone who isn't afraid to be hands-on and has a can-do attitude. You'll be the backbone of our production and fulfillment, working closely with our team to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Production and Fulfillment: Manage all aspects of our distillery's backend, including overseeing bottling, order packing, and shipping. You'll be comfortable jumping in to assist with these tasks, whether it's packing orders or helping with spirit transfers.
  2. Administrative and Systems Management: Utilize your excellent administrative and tech skills to maintain our operational systems. Experience with Asana, Square, or Vinsight is a bonus. You'll have an eye for detail and the initiative to take on tasks.
  3. Problem-Solving and Initiative: You'll have the vision to see the bigger picture and the confidence to take the initiative. We're looking for someone who can spot an inefficiency and take the time to build a better system.
  4. Supplier and Team Collaboration: Work with suppliers to negotiate prices and manage inventory. You'll also work alongside our team to ensure our operations are efficient and effective.
  5. Industry Knowledge: Industry knowledge is a plus. What's more important is your ability to quickly find and apply information.

Requirements:

  1. Consistent work hours and availability.
  2. Proficiency in Google Suite.
  3. Forklift license (or the willingness to obtain one).
  4. RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certificate.
  5. Willingness to act as backup support for events.
  6. Ability to follow and help improve established systems.
  7. Food Safety supervisor (or the willingness to obtain one).
