Now Careers are currently looking for experienced machine operators with a history of working in reinforced steel based in Western Sydney. The successful candidate will be responsible for pre-start checks and safe operation of machines such as off coil, automatic shearlines, various bending machines and overhead cranes.

  • Industry leader in reinforced steel supplying Sydney and NSW.
  • $35-$45p/h
  • Ongoing work with permanent or casual roles available.
  • Day or afternoon shift with daily overtime.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting pre-start checks on all equipment and machinery before it is used.
  • Machine Programming - Includes relating to production tickets issued on the floor, including 90-degree angles, U bars, etc.
  • Operating machinery including MEP, Schnell, Robo master & Pedax cutters, gantry cranes
  • Operating bending machines using a foot pedal and multiple bending pins.
  • Reporting any faults to your Manager or Supervisor immediately.
  • Checking the tags provided on the bundles are correct before producing to ensure efficiencies & productivity.
  • Ensuring all tags are scanned after the bundles, pallets, and bins are loaded
  • Operating all machines and using any relevant equipment in a safe manner as stated in the SOP.
  • Operate overhead gantry crane to remove and load product on machinery when required.
  • Reading and understanding the delivery preparation & load large/ longest bundles first when required.
