The Data Engineer will design, build, and maintain scalable data systems that enable reliable data flow and analytics across the organization. This role is ideal for a technically skilled professional who thrives on optimizing data pipelines, integrating diverse sources, and ensuring data accessibility for business insights across Australia.

Key Responsibilities


• Design, develop, and manage scalable data pipelines and ETL processes


• Build and maintain data architectures that support analytics and machine learning initiatives


• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and developers to deliver clean, structured, and accessible datasets


• Optimize data workflows for performance, reliability, and security


• Integrate data from multiple internal and external systems


• Develop and maintain data warehouse solutions and data lakes


• Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards


• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively


• Contribute to continuous improvement of data engineering practices and tools

Requirements


• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field


• 2–5 years of experience in data engineering or a similar role


• Proficiency in SQL and programming languages such as Python or Java


• Experience with ETL tools and data pipeline frameworks (e.g., Apache Airflow, Spark, or Kafka)


• Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, BigQuery)


• Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud


• Knowledge of data modeling, warehousing, and API integration


• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
