Canteen Supervisor

The Port Kennedy Primary School Parents & Citizens Association Inc. is seeking a passionate and organised Canteen Supervisor/Manager to run our school canteen – PK Café – at Port Kennedy Primary School.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a friendly school environment, providing nutritious and affordable meals to our students and staff.

About the Role:

• Part-Time Position – during school hours (term time only).
• Oversee daily operations of the canteen, including:
• Food preparation
• Ordering and stock control
• Money handling and daily reconciliation
• Cleaning and maintaining hygiene standards
• Serving students and staff in a friendly, inclusive manner
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and allergen regulations.
• Adopt and maintain the Food Services Traffic Light Program and healthy menu guidelines.
• Manage volunteers and maintain a welcoming environment.

Essential Qualifications & Requirements:

• SITSS00069 Food Safety Supervision Skill Set
• All About Allergen for Schools training
• Food Safe Food Handler Training Program
• Knowledge and experience with the Food Services Traffic Light Program
• Working With Children Check (current)
• Police Clearance (current)
• Money handling and reconciliation skills
• Experience with supply ordering and stock management
• Ability to maintain a clean, safe and efficient workspace
