Fullstack Python Developer – Mid-Senior Level

Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Mid-Senior Level Fullstack Python Developer. You will work with a small, but expanding, team of developers to create new apps and enhance the functionality of our existing suite of SaaS applications. You will report to our Lead Python Developer and attend Teams meetings as required. You will be required to work from our Sydney CBD office for a minimum 3 days per week.

Job Responsibilities

  • Backend development in Python, Django
  • Frontend development with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, LESS, jQuery, Jinja Templates
  • Collaborate with the software development team to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software
  • Address software defects and provide excellent customer service
  • Participate in code review processes
  • Perform functional testing on development and staging environments
  • Excellent organisational ability including the use of effective time management
  • Solid problem-solving, fault finding and debugging skills

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering/Computer Science or similar field (preferred)
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a similar role
  • Experience in full-stack web development
  • Experience in Python, Django
  • Experience using SQL relational databases, PostgreSQL preferred
  • Experience with BI/reporting suites (advantageous)
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Unix/Linux
  • Familiarity with VSCode, Git, Gitlab
  • Familiarity with Agile and DevOps
  • Experience in the personal injury compensation industry or insurance (advantageous)
