About the role

We are seeking an experienced Shift Manager to join our team at Raffen Hotel's Pty Ltd in Bathurst, NSW. As Shift Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our hotel during your assigned shifts. This is a casual position, offering flexible work arrangements to suit your lifestyle.

What you'll be doing

  • Overseeing the daily operations of the hotel during your shift, including managing staff, handling guest enquiries and ensuring all areas of the hotel are running smoothly
  • Coordinating and supervising the work of front desk, housekeeping and food and beverage staff to maintain high standards of customer service
  • Monitoring inventory, ordering supplies and managing budgets to optimise hotel performance
  • Resolving guest issues and complaints in a timely and professional manner
  • Adhering to all relevant health, safety and security protocols
  • Providing training and mentoring to junior staff to support their professional development
  • Assisting with special events, functions and other ad-hoc duties as required

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a supervisory or management role within the hospitality industry
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve operational goals
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities to juggle multiple priorities
  • Proficient in using hotel management software and technology
  • Passion for delivering exceptional customer service
  • Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
