Roughan Haulage and Excavations Pty Ltd as a full-time Heavy Haulage Operator and help keep Queensland's heavy transport industry moving heavy Plant and Equipment. We are looking for a motivated driver, including those early in their careers — who are eager to learn and grow within a respected team.

What You will Do

  • Safely operate heavy haulage floats and specialised vehicles for machinery transport
  • Conduct pre-start and post-trip inspections and report any maintenance issues
  • Undertake preventive maintenance and minor repairs.
  • Comply with NHVR law and regulations
  • Work with management to plan and complete transport schedules.
  • Communicate with clients to ensure excellent service delivery.
  • Support the wider logistics team with day-to-day operations as needed.
  • Travel interstate
  • Occasional interstate travel is required for this position

What We're Looking For

  • A current MC Heavy Vehicle Driver's Licence
  • 1–2 years of experience in heavy haulage, float, or specialised transport preferred — but we'll train the right person
  • Ability to provide a clean driving history.
  • A clean driving history with no major offences is required
  • Undertake Drug and Alcohol testing at any time.
  • Strong knowledge of transport safety and road regulations
  • Excellent driving ability and commitment to safety
  • A positive attitude, good communication skills, and willingness to learn
  • A team-focused and proactive approach to work
