Your Own Way is looking for a Allied Health Assistant to join our team, this is a hybrid role meaning you would work from home and at our service locations across East Gippsland and Latrobe Valley on a casual basis with a view to permanent part-time workload permitting.

About the Role
As an Allied Health Assistant, you'll play an essential role in supporting our Occupational Therapists and Allied Health team. This hybrid role involves both clinical and administrative duties, offering a mix of hands-on client interaction and flexible remote work.
You will:
- Assist in delivering Occupational Therapy services in accordance with organisational policies and procedures.
- Support participants under the direction of Occupational Therapists.
- Prepare, clean, and maintain therapy areas and equipment.
- Transport participants to and from therapy sessions or appointments.
- Collect referrals and manage administrative tasks.
- Order prescribed Assistive Technology.
- Help facilitate exercise programs and group activities.
- Communicate regularly with therapists regarding client progress and care plan adjustments.
What You'll Bring
Qualifications (Desirable, but not essential):
- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent.
- Students studying OT, Physiotherapy, or Speech Pathology are highly encouraged to apply.
Skills & Experience:
- Ability to independently deliver and support treatment plans.
- Strong communication, organisation, and time management skills.
- Adaptability and a can-do attitude.
- Basic health care knowledge and computer literacy.
- Commitment to client dignity, safety, and empowerment.
- Willingness to travel regionally within East Gippsland and the Latrobe Valley.
Requirements
- Current Driver's Licence.
- Current NDIS Screening Check.
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Current First Aid & CPR certification.
- Right to work in Australia.
- Comprehensive motor vehicle insurance (for participant transportation).
- Physically capable of providing personal care assistance when required.
