The Company

Dana SAC Australia supplies mechanical and fluid power solutions to industry through innovative designs and application experience since 1993. With rapid growth within the business the company has an opportunity for an Internal Technical Sales/Customer Service.

The Role

Reporting to the NSW State Sales Manager your responsibilities shall include:

  • Selection of gearing and fluid power products based on customer supplied data
  • Preparing quotations & proposals
  • Order entry tasks - processing & expediting
  • Assisting external sales staff in ensuring area budgets are achieved, including total sales & gross margin
  • Reviewing and maintaining back-order report for outstanding sales orders and communicating with the customers
  • Dealing directly with End user customers, resellers and OEM's
  • Communicating with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Maintaining Proper customer records and information in Pronto (ERP)

The Successful Candidate

The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:

  • 2+ years of Sales experience in Mechanical Power Transmission &/or Fluid Power equipment advantageous.
  • Sound understanding of working within sales and a customer base
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team
  • Willingly learning new concepts and techniques and maintains a desire to gain an increasing level of knowledge of customers, products and the industry
  • Working naturally with numbers (Data rational)

This position may also suit a Mechanical Engineering trades-person, Engineering graduate, or someone with a strong mechanical/fluid power background looking to advance a career in Sales. Further on the job training will be provided to the successful candidate
