The Opportunity: Mechatronics or Mechanical
Engineer (MEP) | Orchard Hills
You are an experienced Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineer (MEP - Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing) to join our Technical Office team on the Sydney Metro SSTOM project. Reporting to the Approved Engineers Manager, this role ensures technical compliance across MEP construction activities, independently approving works, releasing Hold Points, and supporting the site teams on complex engineering matters.

This role suits a technically driven engineer with design, site, and construction experience, looking to contribute to a high-profile rail and stations program.

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake inspections to ensure works comply with AFC design documentation
• Release Hold Points and Witness Points, ensuring ITP activities are completed
• Review and approve permanent MEP materials and NCR rectification proposals
• Interface with design, construction, and Systems JV partners to ensure compliance
• Support delivery teams in resolving technical issues and design changes
• Maintain Safety in Design and safety assurance through design and construction
• Ensure latest approved construction documentation is in use across site teams.

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor of Mechanical & Mechatronics Engineering
• Proven engineering experience on complex infrastructure projects
• Strong design background with delivery of MEP infrastructure projects
• Experience with ITPs, compliance reporting, and non-conformance resolution
• Ability to manage Hold Points, technical approvals, and design change processes
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and leadership skills
• Strong knowledge of WHS and commitment to safety culture.
