• Location Eveleigh with convenient access to major transport hubs

• Salary ranges from $145,378 up to $168,130.00 p.a. plus super and annual leave loading

About the role

• Lead the development and implementation of strategies to manage school intake (catchment) area boundaries, monitoring student demand across NSW

• Lead team management, coaching and professional development initiatives to build team capabilities and expertise

• Develop and build collaborative relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to influence departmental school planning initiatives that optimise the utilisation of government assets.

About you

• Experience in developing solutions, leading the analysis of complex and sensitive qualitative and quantitative data with integrity

• Demonstrated experience in leading or managing a team

• Advanced communication skills to present and negotiate with stakeholders

• Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

Essential requirements of the role

• Tertiary qualifications in urban planning, infrastructure planning, development or related sectors

• Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education

Note: the selection process will include a range of assessment techniques to assist in determining your suitability for the role. Successful candidates will be required to undertake pre-employment screening for this role which includes a National Criminal History Check.
As a condition of employment, successful candidates who have not previously worked for the department will be required to provide a current Working with Children Check (WWCC) Clearance number. This option would allow the WWCC to naturally expire without further communication needed with the employee. The employer obligations under the WWCC would apply for duration of the WWCC's validity (up to 5 years)
