ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to support this growing Australian SaaS company based in Newcastle with a global presence. Based out of the Charlestown office, you will work with the internal technical team and support clients across Australia, the UK, NZ, the US and the Philippines to help deliver credit decisioning, loan origination, and product management solutions.
As the business enters a new phase of growth, they are seeking a hands-on, technically minded analyst who brings strong stakeholder management skills to support both day-to-day operations and strategic project work. This is a permanent role and offers a really competitive salary.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
You will work closely with clients across Australia, the UK, NZ, the US and the Philippines to understand their needs, gather and refine requirements, diagnose issues, and communicate progress with clarity and confidence. A major part of this role is providing first-line analysis on support queries to clients, triaging issues, determining whether something is a bug, change request, or user misunderstanding, and translating requirements into well-structured tickets. You will support onboarding, train clients once up-to-speed, work with the development, QA and DevOps teams to progress deliverables, and help define the scope of projects across the products.
You'll also be involved in business analysis, project management, stakeholder communication, documentation and general business support tasks typical of a small but scaling SaaS organisation. Over time, this role has the potential to grow into broader operational or management responsibilities for the right person.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- 5+ years of proven experience in a business analysis, product manager or account manager type role working with SaaS or software organisations
- Excellent communication skills, and the confidence to work with both technical teams and external clients.
- Problem-solving mindset and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible, 'can do' mindset - ability to handle multiple tasks
- Experience working closely with the development teams to build out products or solutions.
- You should be able to gather requirements, create clarity where things are ambiguous and keep stakeholders aligned and updated.
- An analytical mindset, interest in technology, and the ability to understand how systems fit together are essential.
- Exposure to software documentation tools like Linear, JIRA/Confluence
