About the role

As a Roofing Estimator at Top End Roofing, you will play a vital role in ensuring the company's continued success. Working in our Berrimah, NT office, this full-time position will see you responsible for providing accurate and competitive cost estimates for roofing projects, a critical step in the construction process. Your expertise will help secure new business opportunities and set our projects up for profitability.

What you'll be doing

• Reviewing construction plans, specifications, and other project documents to determine material, labour, and equipment requirements
• Calculating material quantities, labour hours, and equipment needs based on blueprints and project scope
• Preparing detailed cost estimates that account for material, labour, equipment, overhead, and profit
• Collaborating with the project management team to refine estimates and identify cost saving opportunities
• Maintaining a database of historical project costs to inform future estimates
• Providing timely and accurate feedback to sales and operations teams

What we're looking for

• Significant experience (5+ years) as a Roofing Estimator or similar role in the construction industry
• Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and equipment, with a specific focus on roofing
• Excellent math and analytical skills to produce detailed, error-free cost estimates
• Proficient with construction estimating software and MS Office suite
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and other technical documents
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with project teams
