We are seeking an expert Integrated Logistics Governance Specialist with experience in Communications Security (COMSEC), to work within the Joint Capabilities Group. This role is critical to ensuring the ADF maintains modern Accountable COMS Materiel (ACM) to stay ahead of emerging vulnerabilities and adversary threats.

You will work closely with stakeholders across Defence, ASD, industry, academia, and other communications security partners to deliver key business outcomes. Reporting to the Director Joint COMSEC through the Deputy Director COMSEC, you will collaborate with APS, ADF, contractors, CASG, and Capability Manager representatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and develop logistics support requirements for COMSEC.
  • Coordinate data mapping of the COMSEC ecosystem.
  • Provide subject matter expertise (SME) input into government submissions, including bi-annual updates.
  • Contribute to the development of fundamental inputs to capability for COMSEC.
  • Deliver ILS advice on COMSEC policy impacts and consequences.
  • Assist in coordinating SME advice on COMSEC Fundamental Inputs to Capability (FIC).
  • Support development of COMSEC training packages for new devices and procedures.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Extensive knowledge of the One Defence Capability System.
  • Strong background in Communication Security within a Joint Service environment
  • Minimum 8+ years industry experience, with at least 5 years in Defence (contracted or otherwise).
  • Familiarity with Capability Life Cycle, PMBOK, or Prince2 methodologies.
  • Proven ability to prepare documentation for senior Defence committees.
  • Creative and innovative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under broad direction, deliver outcomes, and thrive in a small integrated team.
  • Must hold a minimum of Negative Vetting 1 ASGVA Security Clearance

Desirable

  • Experience developing COMSEC training packages.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills across Defence, ASD, industry, and academia.
